"C" is for Containers

Container, bin, vessel, box - whatever you want to call it.

THE TRUG

I had so many random scrap wood pieces from the pallet projects that I wanted to use up so I created this:

And then I added some jute for a softer handle:

I just wrapped it around and tucked it in with a needle:

Now for some decorating:

But I didn't make just one bin, I had lots and lots of scrap pieces to use so I made this:
THE SQUARE

And this:
THE TRAY

And this:
THE RECTANGLE

These are the scraps I started with:

I made a simple box and drilled holes in the sides for rope handles:

Just pull the rope through and knot it:

A view from above:

As usual I had some magazine inspiration:

But I was thinking about centerpieces, arrangements and getting ready for Thanksgiving:

THE RECTANGLE

THE SQUARE

THE TRAY

Ready to bake?

The possibilities are endless, different sizes, heights, handles,
no handles, should I stencil some with numbers? or letters?

Still my favorite.
THE TRUG

Now you've got me inspired to make boxes and add rope to them...I love boxes!!! Gosh, I've got wood tucked away, I think I can, I think I can...make boxes. Visit Mel's Cabin for a sip of coffee when you're in the neighborhood.
