"C" is for Choices

Ruffle choices.

The response to my terry cloth pouches has been overwhelming.

Something about the terry cloth and ruffle combination really struck a chord with folks.

Currently I'm offering the pouches in my Etsy shop here.

You choose the ruffle/lining fabric from these options:

Of course seersucker seems to be the favorite, so perfect for the summer season!

They are made to order, production time is about 1 week.

I'm up to my eyeballs in terry cloth but I'm loving it.

"L" is for Labels

Make your own fabric labels.

I made them to sew into pouches.

Here I pulled the lining out for a better picture:

Here's how to make the labels:
1. Purchase cotton paper-backed sheets for ink jet printing:

Jacquard Inkjet Cotton package

I found mine at Michaels.
2. Set up a word document with the labels you want to print.  My label is folded in half so in order to be legible from both sides I modified my logo to print right side up and upside down:
3. Run a test print on regular paper first, then print on the cotton sheet:

4. Set with hot iron.
5. Cut to size with rotary cutter and ruler:

6. Fold in half and iron again:

7. Dip sides (raw edges) into fray check:

Now your labels are ready!

Line up the pouch lining, insert label and sew into seam:

I pulled up the lining again to see the label better.
(The pink gingham doesn't photograph the best without natural light, sorry.)

Machine washable and hot dryer too!
(I tried it to be certain.)

Now go make your own labels for all those sewing projects.

"S" is for Spah

Spah Party pouches.

These pouches are made for Spah Party, an onsite spa party business.

Julie and her team will bring the spa experience to your home.
Her services are perfect for a ladies night, birthday parties, bridal showers, etc.

And as part of her party packages she offers a favor, these pouches are now an option in her favor list.

Choose ruffled,

or ruffled and personalized.

And the fabric colors coordinate with the spa party robe colors!

A great party favor that's fun and useful for girls any age.

"S" is for Seersucker

Seersucker sunscreen terry cloth pouches.

Who doesn't love terry cloth and seersucker?
It's a match made in heaven and so appropriate for the summer season.

This pouch is large, 12"long x 7"high with a 2"wide bottom.

Large enough to hold 4 regular size bottles of sunscreen.

And I even made my own fabric labels sewn into the lining.

The pouch is washable but I would recommend simply pulling up the liner and handwashing.

These are coming with me to my first vendor event, we'll see how they go!
