"S" is for Santa sign

Paint: Santa STOP here sign

An old broken table top quickly becomes a Christmas decoration with a little paint:

Hard to see in any of these pictures, much less in the daylight, but 'Santa' glows in the dark.  I added glow-in-the-dark glitter both for sparkle and night time fun.

Here's how to make the Santa sign:

1. Sand and paint your octagon red:

2. Distress edges and screw wood stake to back:

3. Print lettering to fit.  All fonts are readily available at dafont.com:
Santa: Pacifico
STOP: Handy George
here: Century Gothic

Line up the letters and trace with ballpoint pen:

4. Paint on and inside the indent from the pen:

5. To add the glow-in-the-dark glitter spread on glue with a brush over the paint:

6. Then sprinkle the glitter over the wet glue:

7. Seal with multiple coats Minwax Helmsman exterior clear semi gloss poly.

The sign looks great! Such an excellent repurposing idea. My daughter would love this! I'll have to pin this to try next year -- too much on my holiday to do list right now.

Oh my word! This is such a great project and a fun idea! I love that it can be in the yard for easy outdoor decor. (It's too cold to worry about stringing lights at our house.)

Thanks so much for linking up to Dare to DIY! Really appreciate it.
