Dresser Makeover with Leather Pulls

dresser makeover with leather pulls

A simple dresser makeover with new diy leather pulls for my son.  Some red paint and brown leather made this dresser new and masculine.

More is less when comes to kids and keeping their clothes neat, and by that I mean more smaller drawers versus large oversized drawers.  This dresser with 5 medium size drawers is very managable for my six year old son.  He can see what's in the drawers and easily operate them which means he has no excuse not to put away his clean laundry!

The leather pulls are my solution in place of using knobs.  I like the contrast of the leather against the industrial look of the shiny screw and washer.

The edges are distressed just enough to mimic normal wear and tear and allow for a bit of the wood tone to peak through.

Step 6: Fold strip in half, place a washer then screw into drawer front.
