DIY Plastic Egg Centerpiece

An very simple Easter craft using items you probably already have on hand - let's use plastic Easter eggs and bamboo skewers to make an egg centerpiece.

This plastic egg centerpiece adds so much color and a touch of whimsy and it's definitely a project the kids can do (with adult supervision).

How to make a plastic egg centerpiece:

- 2x2 pine board cut at desired length
- bamboo skewers
- plastic eggs
- drill
- hot glue gun & glue sticks

Step 1: Drill 1/8" hole into bottom center of egg.  Most of my eggs already had a small hole in the bottom I only had to enlarge the hole in order for the skewer to fit.

Step 2: Drill holes at random into one side of 2x2 board.

Step 3: Insert skewer into hole in 2x2 and then insert egg onto skewer.  Apply hot glue onto skewer inside the egg to be sure it stays in place.  Snap top half of egg back in place.
