Wood & Leather Shopping List Board

"Add it to the shopping list."

I heard myself saying this repeatedly to my kids this summer.  To which they would respond,

"But where is the shopping list?"

and then I would have to give detailed instructions such as on the counter next to the tissue box or some other guided information.  By the time I was done explaining where the shopping list was they would have forgotten what they wanted to add to the list.  And then they would get mad at me for not buying said item at the store when it wasn't even on the list to begin with.

I'm finally got off this merry-go-round by making a wood and leather shopping list board with a paper roll.  It's perfectly placed smack between the refrigerator and pantry and hung low enough so all my kids can reach it.

I'll show you how to make this wood and leather shopping list board down below.

Everyone can add whatever their little heart desires to the shopping list now.

Scrap Wood Wall Art

Gather up your wood scraps friends because if you're like me then I know you have tons of pieces lying around.  Today I'm sharing the plans for this scrap wood wall art down below.

I kept the wood natural here but you could go crazy painting or staining your pieces all different colors to highlight the pattern.  This version is made from 1x4 cedar boards with a 1x2 cedar frame, pine boards would work too.

Paper Cross Stitch for Fall (free printable)

I've been cross stitching ever since I was a little girl and I love coming back to it time and again.  I think it's the nostalgic feel of handsewing and repetitive pattern left behind by the thread that wins me over.  Today I'm cross stitching on paper and sharing this paper cross stitch artwork along with the free printable patterns down below for you to make your own.

Simply stitched onto paper and then nailed to a piece of scrap wood this little acorn is too cute next to the big pumpkin.

Colorful Wood Bunting

How fun is this colorful outdoor wood bunting?  A very easy project that adds tons of punch and color to any space.  I made this wood bunting for our pool fence but you could hang it practically anywhere.

And because this is an outdoor project I used DecoArt's Patio Paint Outdoor acrylics, they are available in 53 beautiful colors and I choose 8 bright summery colors:
